DAHI VADA




















cool recipe and chilling for the stomach too, digestive in nature, loved by millions specially eaten after dinner in some parts of India, but real taste looks when one is very tired of work specially in evening around 1800.00 Hrs, street vendors can be noticed here and there selling dahi vada thorough India .



























Ingredients:-


For Wada:-






  1. 1 Cup Urad daal


  2. Salt to taste


  3. Oil to fry




For Dahi :-







  1. 1 kg Dahi (yogurt)


  2. 1/2 tsp grated Ginger


  3. Finely chopped coriander leaves


  4. 1-2 green chilies chopped


  5. Salt to taste


  6. 2 tsp Roasted cumin(jeera)powder


  7. Red chili powder to taste


  8. Khus-Khus juice and Kismis for Garnishing














Preparation:-




For Bada -







  1. Clean, wash and soak the daal overnight.


  2. Grind it into smooth paste.


  3. Add salt to taste.


  4. Heat oil in a pan and drop a spoonfuls of batter and fry till golden brown.


  5. Take the hot vadas and put in cold water for 2-3 minutes.


  6. Now Take them out of water and squeeze the water and keep aside.

















For Dahi -







  1. Blend the curd (yogurt) (Sweet) and little water until it is smooth.


  2. Keep in refrigerator for an hour to get chilled.


  3. Add salt, red chili powder and cumin powder.


Serving -



  1. In a deep dish arrange wada and pour dahi over them.


  2. Now add imli (tamarind) chutney and green chutney.


  3. Garnish with coriander and Kismis.


  4. Add some Khus -Khus Juice on top.


  5. Serve the dahi vadas chilled.
